It all began with great parents! I got my spunk and can-do spirit from my dad. My mom taught me to see the best in people as she inspired and encouraged the coach within me. As a child I would eavesdrop on her conversations, realizing even then she had a special gift. She was a great listener and easy to talk to. Her warmth, wisdom and empathy made her the go-to family member and friend. I am also the one people go to for comfort and guidance in dealing with life’s challenges. Perhaps the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
I had no idea what I wanted to be until I took an Introductory Psychology course in college, fell in love with it and the rest is history. This led to a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling Psychology, which paved the way for my career as a life coach.
I began my career as a Counseling Psychologist. Back then I thought, 'it really doesn’t get any better than this' until I discovered coaching. Coaching provided that last piece of the puzzle, the bridge from insight to action, from helping people learn and grow to helping them change. Now I know it really doesn’t get any better than that.
While coaching is my calling, teaching is a close second. This led to a position as Coordinator of Training and Development at a large financial institution and ultimately to my role as Adjunct Professor of Psychology. I am a firm believer in following your passion, even if it takes you down more than one path.
I have also experienced my share of change and transition. From discovering who I am, to giving myself permission to be who I am.
From counseling, to training and development, to doing what I truly love. I have learned that with age comes not only wisdom, but a deeper sense of self-awareness and commitment to the work of becoming my best self.
In addition to my role as Life Mastery Coach, I am a wife and mother of an adult son. I enjoy outdoor pursuits such as hiking, canoeing, horseback riding and archery in addition to reading, touring historic homes and antiquing. Maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle is one of my top priorities, as well as being fully engaged in the on-going process of personal growth. I find few things more rewarding than assisting others in their quest to do the same.
But enough about me…tell me your story! I would love to hear about your passions and challenges, your goals and dreams. I would be honored to accompany you as you take your life journey to the next level.
