Is coaching right for me?
If you are ready to take the leap from thought to action, from dreaming to doing, then coaching is right for you. Coaching is a pragmatic, action-oriented process designed to help highly motivated individuals reach even greater levels of success and fulfillment. It requires time, energy and commitment, but the rewards are well worth the effort. If this resonates with you, then coaching would be a good fit.
What happens during a coaching session?
I provide a safe environment to discuss and explore your goals and aspirations on a deeper level. We then put our heads together to fine-tune your goals, create a strategic plan of action and revise it as needed throughout the coaching process. To ensure accountability, I closely monitor your progress as you keep me apprised of your wins and challenges. At the end of each session, you will have a clearly defined set of action-steps designed to move you in the direction of your goals.
How long will it take for me to achieve my coaching goals?
It depends upon the nature of your goals and the amount of time and energy you devote to the coaching process. At least two months is recommended to allow new habits, thought patterns and goal-oriented behavior to become firmly established. However, it is possible to make significant progress in less time as well.
How is coaching different from counseling or psychotherapy?
Counseling and psychotherapy tend to focus on issues from the past and their influence on the present, whereas coaching focuses primarily on the present with an emphasis on the future and what you want to accomplish going forward. While insights and aha moments are quite common in coaching, the greater emphasis is on applying them to everyday life.
How will I know if you are the right coach for me?
As is true of any relationship, the right fit is essential. I offer a forty-five minute complimentary coaching consultation to discuss your goals and explore the possibilities. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if we “click.” Choosing a coach is both an objective and subjective decision, based on logic as well as intuition.
